Privacy Policy

The short version
Trust Validated applications process data on your device and do not transmit personal data to us. We do not operate accounts, run advertising SDKs, or embed third-party behavioural analytics. Camera frames used by SafeDistance are analysed in memory and discarded — never recorded, never uploaded.
1. Who we are
Trust Validated ("we", "us") is an independent software studio that develops privacy-first consumer applications, including SafeDistance Kids. This policy explains what data our applications and this website handle.
2. Data we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Camera images, video frames, or any biometric template.
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers (our apps require no account).
- Contact lists, photo libraries, messages, or location history.
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app behavioural profiles.
3. Camera use in SafeDistance
SafeDistance requires front-camera access to estimate the distance between a viewer's eyes and the screen. Frames are read into memory, evaluated by an on-device model, and released immediately. No frame is written to persistent storage, and no frame is sent off the device. The feature operates with networking disabled.
4. Data stored on your device
Your settings — distance threshold, child profiles, alert style, and your parental PIN (stored as a salted hash) — are kept in the app's local storage on your device. They are removed when you uninstall the app. We have no copy and no way to retrieve them.
5. Children's privacy
Our family applications are designed for use by children under parental supervision. Because we collect no personal data at all, we collect none from children. Setup and configuration are gated behind a parental PIN.
6. This website
This site is static and sets no tracking cookies. It loads Tailwind CSS and Google Fonts from their public CDNs; those providers may see your IP address and user agent as part of serving the request, as with any third-party asset on the web. We receive no analytics from it.
7. App stores and crash reporting
When you install our apps, the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) processes the download under its own privacy policy — including any aggregate install or crash statistics you have chosen to share with the platform. That data is handled by the platform, not by us, and is never linked to camera activity.
8. Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, and portability rights all apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. You can delete everything our software stores by uninstalling it. If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to answer you.
9. Changes to this policy
If we revise this policy we will update the date above and publish the change in full. We do not make silent revisions.
