Keep Little Eyes Safe from Screen Strain.

SafeDistance Kids uses the front camera entirely on-device to measure the distance between your child's eyes and the screen. The moment the phone drifts inside the safe viewing threshold, a gentle overlay dims the display and nudges them back — building the posture habits that protect against early-onset myopia and daily eye strain.

No video is recorded. No frame ever leaves the phone. The camera is a sensor, not a feed.

  1. Step 01

    Local face detection

The front camera runs an on-device model that estimates eye-to-screen distance many times a second.

  2. Step 02

    Threshold check

Distance is compared against a parent-set safe range — 35 cm by default, tunable per child.

  3. Step 03

    Gentle correction

A soft dim and friendly prompt appear — never a jarring alarm — and clear the instant posture improves.

Real-Time Distance Guard

Smart local face-detection monitors safe viewing thresholds continuously — the 35 cm default is adjustable for each child.

Child-Proof PIN Lock

Protection can't be disabled, uninstalled, or re-tuned without the parental PIN. Limits stay put.

Zero Cloud Streaming

Camera frames never leave the device. Nothing is recorded, saved, or transmitted — the app works fully offline.

Gentle Overlay Alerts

Soft full-screen dimming and kind prompts encourage good posture instead of punishing mistakes.

35 cm

Default safe viewing threshold, tunable per child profile.

0 bytes

Camera data leaving the device. No frames, no uploads, ever.

<3%

Typical hourly battery draw, using the device's low-power vision pipeline.

The Portfolio

Apps built under one standard.

Every application we ship must pass the same internal review: on-device processing, no data collection, and a privacy policy a parent can read in two minutes.

Our Philosophy

Trust isn't claimed.
It's validated.

Most family-safety software asks parents for enormous trust and a great deal of data. We think that trade is backwards. Our software earns its place by needing as little from you as technically possible.

That constraint shapes every engineering decision we make — which is why our apps run offline, hold no accounts, and ship with policies short enough to actually read.

  • Least data possible

If a feature can work without collecting something, it must work without collecting it.

  • Readable by design

Plain-language policies and documented data flows — no legalese burying the important part.

  • Kind, not coercive

Safety features guide children gently. We build habits, not punishment loops.

  • Validated before shipping

Each release passes a privacy, permission, and battery-impact review before it goes live.

Privacy Promise

Our privacy oath, in three lines.

This is the standard every Trust Validated application is held to. If a feature can't be built inside these rules, we don't ship the feature.

On-Device Processing Only

All detection, analysis, and decision-making happens on your hardware. No data is uploaded to our servers — because for these features, we don't operate any.

Transparent Code & Open Policies

Every permission we request is documented and justified in plain language, and our policies are published in full — no hidden appendices, no silent revisions.

No Intrusive Ad Trackers

No advertising SDKs, no behavioural profiling, no third-party analytics following your family around. Nothing about your child is anyone's product.

The camera is used as a distance sensor, not a recorder. Frames are analysed in memory by an on-device model and discarded immediately — nothing is written to storage, nothing is transmitted, and there is no server to receive it. SafeDistance functions with networking fully disabled, which is the simplest proof of the claim: put the phone in airplane mode and protection keeps working.

Impact is modest — typically under 3% per hour of active monitoring. SafeDistance uses the device's low-power vision pipeline at a reduced sampling rate rather than a full-resolution video capture, and it sleeps entirely when the screen is off or a monitored app isn't in the foreground. Battery cost is reviewed on every release.

Every release goes through a three-part internal review before it ships: a permission audit (each requested permission must have a documented, minimal justification), a data-flow review (confirming no user data leaves the device), and a performance and battery check. An app that fails any of the three doesn't go live.

No. Disabling monitoring, changing the distance threshold, or removing the app all require the parental PIN set during setup. Children can see how they're doing, but they can't quietly opt out of the guard.

No sign-up, no email, no phone number. Settings live on the device and are protected by your parental PIN. Fewer accounts means less of your family's data existing anywhere at all.

Protect little eyes today.

SafeDistance Kids installs in under a minute, needs no account, and starts guarding viewing distance immediately.
